White House report on Trump's first month: Lines full of praise

The White House has shared with the public the actions taken by U.S. President Donald Trump during the first month since he took office.

Stating that Trump has accomplished more in just one month than most presidents have achieved throughout their entire terms, the White House expressed that he has taken steps toward national security, the economy, border security, immigration policies, international relations, and improving the living standards of the American people.

BORDER SECURITY AND IMMIGRATION POLICIES

Reporting that President Trump took strict measures to prevent illegal immigration as soon as he took office, the White House stated that a national emergency was declared at the U.S.-Mexico border and that the military was deployed to the region to increase border security. Among the measures taken by the Trump administration are policies that significantly reduce illegal border crossings and the immediate deportation of immigrants who commit crimes.

Within just 11 days after President Trump took office, apprehensions made by the U.S. Border Patrol at the southern border decreased by 85 percent. During the same period, the number of immigrants caught at ports of entry fell by 93 percent.

Promising to protect taxpayers by enacting policies that prevent illegal immigrants from benefiting from healthcare, housing, and social assistance, Trump also reopened Guantanamo Bay for the detention of criminal immigrants to be deported and reinstated the "Remain in Mexico" policy, beginning to keep immigrants who want to enter the U.S. on the other side of the border.

ECONOMY AND PROTECTING U.S. WORKERS

President Trump focused on encouraging U.S.-based production and investment in his economic policies. By imposing an additional 25 percent customs duty on steel and aluminum imports, Trump ensured that U.S. producers were protected from unfair competition. The Trump administration also announced that it had received billions of dollars in new investments from large companies and allied countries to support the steel industry.

Trump established the National Energy Dominance Council to lower energy prices and stimulate the U.S. economy, and enacted a series of regulations with the goal of increasing oil production and effectively utilizing natural gas resources.

While a rise was observed in the U.S. stock market, a decline was recorded in unemployment rates. Forecasters at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia raised their economic growth projections for the first quarter of 2025 from 1.9 percent to 2.5 percent.

FOREIGN POLICY AND NATIONAL SECURITY

The Trump administration also took significant steps on the international stage after taking office. By tightening sanctions on Iran, it blocked companies and individuals linked to Iran from accessing the U.S. financial system.

President Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House and presented a plan to ensure lasting peace in Gaza. Trump also signed new agreements with Japan and India in the fields of trade, energy, and technology, strengthening economic ties with both countries.

ENERGY POLICIES AND CLIMATE AGREEMENTS

President Trump declared a National Energy Emergency to increase the country's energy independence and lower energy prices. He lifted restrictions on renewable energy policies and encouraged oil and natural gas production. The Trump administration removed greenhouse gas emission regulations introduced during the term of former President Joe Biden and took steps to protect U.S. interests by withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement.

The Trump administration made radical changes in education policies and took steps to remove "far-left" curricula in schools receiving federal funding.
