WHO issues call for Turkey-Palestine Friendship Hospital
The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued an urgent call for support for the Turkey-Palestine Friendship Hospital, where cancer patients in the Gaza Strip receive treatment.

Ghebreyesus shared a post on the X social media platform regarding the Turkey-Palestine Friendship Hospital ceasing its services.
CALL FOR SUPPORT
Noting that the Turkey-Palestine Friendship Hospital, the main cancer center in the Gaza Strip, is currently out of service due to a lack of fuel and recent airstrikes in the vicinity, Ghebreyesus stated, "We are urgently calling for support to save lives."
The Palestinian Ministry of Health had announced that the Turkey-Palestine Friendship Hospital had ceased operations due to Israeli attacks.
''CANCER PATIENTS' LIVES AT RISK''
The post included the following statements: "The Turkey-Palestine Friendship Hospital has ceased services as of today due to fuel shortages and numerous attacks affecting the facility. This is the only public hospital in the Gaza Strip where cancer patients can receive treatment, and now the lives of dozens of cancer patients are at serious risk."
The post, which stated that Israel continues to block the entry of fuel necessary to provide energy to hospitals into Gaza, called for urgent permission for water, food, fuel, medical supplies, and sufficient humanitarian aid to enter Gaza.
