In a written statement released on Hamas's Telegram account, it was reported that Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh met with Jordanian officials as part of his visit to Istanbul.
EMPHASIS ON SHARED RESPONSIBILITY
During the meeting, where field and political developments regarding the war in the Gaza Strip and the crimes committed by Israel in the West Bank and Jerusalem were discussed, Haniyeh emphasized the shared responsibility against the attacks carried out by Israel and the plans to liquidate the Palestinian cause.
Stating that Jordan holds special importance regarding the Palestinian cause, Haniyeh expressed his satisfaction with the solidarity shown by the Jordanian people and their emphasis on the unity of the two peoples.
STANDING WITH PALESTINE
Jordanian parliamentarians also offered their condolences to Haniyeh, who lost three of his children and his grandchildren in an Israeli attack. Expressing that they are proud of the Palestinian people's resistance and their stance against the occupation, the deputies emphasized that they stand with the Palestinian people.
The 5th Conference of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds, attended by nearly 600 parliamentarians from 75 countries around the world, began on Friday. The Jordanian deputies had also come to Istanbul to attend the conference.
