Peskov stated that it will become clear over time how the stance of European countries will change following contacts with the US administration. Peskov expressed that Russia's positive progress in relations with the Washington administration could lead to a shift in Europe's stance.

Peskov noted that they participated in a vote at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly on a resolution containing balanced language regarding the Ukraine crisis, stating, 'This would have been unimaginable before.'

Commenting on the issue between the US and Ukraine regarding rare earth elements, Peskov noted the following:

'It seems to me that we need to outline the topics for cooperation even now, but we should not expect quick results in this area at the moment.'

Peskov emphasized that the relationship between Russian President Vladimir Putin and former US President Donald Trump is 'positive,' and used the following expressions:

'Attempts are now being made to initiate a dialogue and improve all relations. We still have a long way to go, because the entire spectrum of bilateral relations has been greatly damaged. However, if the political will of the two leaders continues, this path can be covered quite quickly and successfully.'

Evaluating a potential meeting between French President Emmanuel Macron and Putin, Peskov stated that Macron had previously said he was ready to communicate with Putin, but no concrete steps had been taken in that direction. Peskov said, 'On the contrary, he took a position supporting the continuation of the war in any way possible.'
