According to the latest nationwide polls conducted just hours before tomorrow's presidential election in the US, Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump appear to be tied at 48.5 percent.
As the countdown ends for the 60th presidential election to be held in the US on November 5, national polls indicate that Harris and Trump are running head-to-head.
According to the average of the last 14 polls compiled by the news portal Real Clear Politics (RCP), which aggregates national surveys, both Harris and Trump have 48.5 percent support.
The fact that the two candidates, who have remained very close throughout the election campaign, are entering the election neck-and-neck shows, according to many experts, that the 2024 election is "one of the most difficult elections to predict."
While the two rivals are tied in polls such as NBC News, New York Post, Emerson, and New York Times, Harris appears to be slightly ahead in outlets like Reuters and Forbes, while Trump appears to be slightly ahead in polls by outlets such as the Wall Street Journal and CNBC.
TRUMP APPEARS SLIGHTLY MORE ADVANTAGEOUS IN SWING STATES
On the other hand, in the 7 swing states that will determine the fate of the election, where candidates will try to reach 270 electoral votes, Trump is leading by small margins in 5, while Harris is leading in 2.
Accordingly, Trump is leading the race in Pennsylvania by 0.3, Georgia by 1.7, North Carolina by 1.5, Arizona by 2.7, and Nevada by 1 percentage point.
Harris, meanwhile, appears to be ahead of Trump in Michigan by 1.2 and in Wisconsin by 0.4 percentage points.
The candidate who wins the 60th presidential election, described as the most critical US presidential election of recent times, will be sworn in on January 20, 2025, to become the 47th president of the US.
