Zelenskyy: I approved it to pressure Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has made a notable statement regarding the course of the Russia-Ukraine War.

In a post on his social media account, Zelenskyy reported that he met with the Acting Head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Yevhen Khmara, in the capital, Kyiv.

Stating that the meeting involved an assessment of the SBU units' medium and long-range operations against Russia, Zelenskyy emphasized that the SBU has demonstrated high performance in maintaining positions on the front line in recent months through the use of various types of unmanned aerial vehicles.

In this context, drawing attention to potential new attacks against Russia, Zelenskyy stated, "I have approved the SBU's 40-day influence operation to force the aggressor state to end the war."
