Zelenskyy: New Patriot PAC-3 missiles from the US to arrive in Ukraine in the coming days

Ukrainian leader Zelenskyy announced that they are expecting new PAC-3 missiles from the US following his contacts with Trump in Ankara.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that new PAC-3 missiles used in Patriot air defense systems will be delivered from the US shortly.

While answering journalists' questions on his social media account, Zelenskyy noted that he had discussed the procurement of PAC-3 ammunition with US President Donald Trump and leaders of European countries. The Ukrainian leader said, “We will receive a batch (of Patriot missiles) from the US in the coming days. I also have separate agreements with the Europeans. There are no clear terms yet, but there will be additional PAC-3 shipments.” he said.


Zelenskyy also conveyed that Ukraine has requested a license from the US to produce these missiles on its own territory. Stating that this topic was discussed during the meeting with Trump in Ankara, Zelenskyy said that the American side views Ukraine as a country ready for this.

The Ukrainian leader noted that they are keeping the “Freya” project, which aims to establish a joint air defense system with European countries against potential threats from Russia, on the agenda. Zelenskyy noted that they will present the details of the project soon at a summit to be held in Paris.

In his statement, Zelenskyy also touched upon the attack carried out by the Russian army on the town of Vyshneve in the Kyiv region on July 6. Stating that an ammunition depot was hit in the attack, Zelenskyy described the resulting scene as “absolutely terrible.”
