Ukraine's advance into Russian territory continues. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he is in constant contact with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, and that he receives regular reports from Syrskyi regarding the situation on the front lines and operations in the Kursk region.

Zelenskyy said, "Despite the difficult and intense fighting, our forces continue to advance in the Kursk region. 74 settlements are under Ukrainian control, where inspections and measures are being implemented. Humanitarian solutions are being developed for these areas. I am grateful to our warriors for their heroic service. Preparations for our next steps are ongoing."

The Ukrainian army launched an offensive into Russia's Kursk region on August 6 and has taken control of approximately one thousand square kilometers of territory.
