Zelenskyy speaks: First statement on Ukraine's 'long-range weapons' that have stirred the world
In response to a question about whether a military facility near Russia's Bryansk region was struck by US-made long-range missiles, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, "Ukraine has long-range capabilities, and we will use them."

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a joint press conference with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, who is on an official visit to the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.
During the press conference, a journalist asked Zelenskyy whether the attack carried out by Ukraine on a military ammunition depot in Russia's Bryansk region was conducted with US-made long-range ATACMS missiles.
Without confirming that the attack was carried out with long-range US weapons, Zelenskyy said, "I will not go into unnecessary details, but Ukraine has long-range capabilities, and we will use them. We have long-range drones of our own production.
We now have long-range Neptune missiles. We now have ATACMS missiles. We will use all of these," he said.
CALL TO GERMANY
During the press conference, Zelenskyy also issued a call to Germany, stating that it is now time for Germany to approve the use of long-range missiles for strikes on Russian territory.
Zelenskyy said, "Regarding long-range weapons, we are working to ensure that all countries approve the use of long-range weapons.
Following the statements regarding nuclear weapons, I think it is now time for Germany to support this decision as well," he said.
DENMARK ANNOUNCES $137 MILLION INVESTMENT
At the press conference, Danish Prime Minister Frederiksen announced that an investment of $137 million would be made to support Ukraine's defense industry.
Frederiksen said, "Denmark's new support, exceeding $137 million, is directed at Ukraine's defense industry. It might seem strange that we are celebrating investment here, but let me state this clearly: Peace in Europe is only possible if we can defend ourselves."
Zelenskyy's call to Germany came after the administration of US President Joe Biden approved the use of US-made long-range weapons to strike targets in Russia, and reports that Ukraine had struck a target on Russian soil with US-made long-range missiles for the first time on the thousandth day of the war.
Following the US approval for Ukraine to use long-range missiles, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved an updated nuclear doctrine, lowering the threshold for Russia to resort to the use of nuclear weapons.
