Eyes turn to 2023 after Ahbap remarks: Nedim Şener's posts about Haluk Levent are back on the agenda!

Following the February 6 earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, the recent remarks of pro-government journalist Nedim Şener, who had previously shared posts supporting the relief efforts of the Ahbap Association and Haluk Levent, have become a subject of debate once again.

Şener's past posts regarding Haluk Levent and Ahbap, which he defended during the earthquake period by saying "Don't let them feed on him," have returned to the agenda following his comments in his latest broadcast.

HE HAD CALLED OUT: "DON'T LET THEM FEED ON HALUK LEVENT"

While the relief activities of the Ahbap Association following the February 6 earthquakes resonated widely with the public, Nedim Şener also shared a photo taken with Haluk Levent on his social media account on February 13, 2023.

In his post, stating that Levent was working in coordination with the state, Şener used the following expressions:

"Haluk Levent's relief efforts in cooperation with the state are valuable for this country. It is understood that FETÖ members were trying to create a perception by supposedly supporting Haluk's work. But the game is over, and now they are threatening him openly and secretly. Don't let them feed on @haluklevent."

THE NEXT DAY, HE ALSO DEFENDED HALUK LEVENT AND OĞUZHAN UĞUR

In another post dated February 14, 2023, Şener quoted statements by Haluk Levent and Oğuzhan Uğur regarding inter-institutional coordination.

Opposing the criticisms directed at the two figures, Şener made the following assessment in his post:

"Let me say it while it's fresh; there is no rivalry with the state or hostility toward the state coming from @haluklevent and @OguzhanUgur, who used this respectful language even on the day they were insulted. Warn those who make mistakes, but to think the opposite is to underestimate the Republic of Turkey state."

One day later, on February 15, 2023, responding to Haluk Levent's words, "I did not delete my old tweets. I may not have been able to fully express my thoughts with my excitement at that moment...", Şener used the following expressions:

"You mind your own business; be a balm for the wound, our loss and our wound are already very, very great."

IN HIS LATEST REMARKS, HE TARGETED THOSE WHO SUPPORTED AHBAP

After approximately three and a half years, Şener made striking statements in his latest broadcast regarding the citizens who supported the Ahbap Association after the February 6 earthquakes.

Evaluating the support given to Ahbap as a political stance, Şener used the following expressions:

"Your hostility toward the government, your hostility toward Recep Tayyip Erdoğan led you to hostility toward the state. That is why you supported AHBAP."

In the continuation of his speech, he said:

"Your hostility toward the AK Party or the People's Alliance, and directly your hostility toward Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has blinded you."

HE ALSO DEFENDED THE WORK IN THE EARTHQUAKE ZONE

In the same broadcast, Şener also made assessments regarding the work carried out in the earthquake zone.

Speaking about the Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Murat Kurum, Şener said:

"That Murat Kurum, you know. 450 thousand residences were built. Did we hear a single thing about bribery, corruption, or anything like that?"

Speaking about the contractors working in the earthquake zone, Şener used the following expressions:

"The contractors there also worked as if it were a service to the homeland. The workers looked at the situation that way."

Şener's posts in 2023 supporting the work of Haluk Levent and Ahbap, and his expressions in his recent remarks targeting citizens who supported Ahbap, have returned to the agenda on social media.
