Cabinet to meet: Agenda is Lebanon and Israel

The Cabinet will meet at Beştepe under the chairmanship of AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan.

On the agenda are the attacks Israel launched on Gaza on October 7. The latest link in Israel's chain of bombardment struck Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. High-ranking Hezbollah officials, including Hassan Nasrallah, lost their lives in the attacks.

AGENDA ISRAEL

Developments closely monitored by Ankara will be addressed at the cabinet meeting. Turkey's potential diplomatic steps for a ceasefire and peace in response to Israel's efforts to spread the conflict across the region will be negotiated.

Meanwhile, the bombardment continues in Gaza, which is under an Israeli blockade.

What can be done to implement a ceasefire plan in the region, provide humanitarian aid, and open the door to a two-state solution will also be on the agenda.

Erdoğan also held numerous bilateral meetings in New York, which he visited as part of the United Nations summit. The reflections of these meetings are also expected to be discussed in the Cabinet.

The Parliament will begin its new legislative year one day after the cabinet meeting. The legislative work to be carried out in the new term will also be addressed in the Cabinet.

In addition to legal regulations to eliminate the perception of impunity, new steps that can be taken in the context of public order, security, and social peace are expected to be evaluated in the Cabinet.

The economy is also among the topics constantly monitored by the Cabinet. Additional measures to be taken to meet the 40% year-end inflation target and steps that can be taken to increase the purchasing power of retirees and low-income groups will be on the table.

The outcomes of the Investment Advisory Council held in recent days and steps to improve the direct investment environment in Turkey will also be consulted.
