CHP responds to President Erdoğan's 'watch your step' remark directed at CHP Chairman Özgür Özel

AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan made statements regarding the agenda during his party's Extended Provincial Chairmen meeting.

Stating, "Let him come out and answer the allegations of corruption; they have turned the municipalities into a family farm," Erdoğan addressed CHP Leader Özgür Özel, saying, "Watch your step; if you don't, we know how to make you."

A response to this harsh outburst from Erdoğan came from the CHP front.

CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır responded to the words of AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan in a post on his social media account as follows:

One day you are the AKP Chairman, one day the President, one day the Commander-in-Chief...

You cannot continue your rule, which has run its course with the politics of intimidation, by changing your skin whenever it suits you!

You cannot threaten our Chairman Özgür Özel through our national army!

We are not like the appointed ministers who tremble before you or the MYK members waiting for your instructions.

We are the soldiers of the Republic; we will neither bow down nor take a step back!
