Claim that 750 thousand Palestinians are coming to Turkey
Former US Ambassador and CHP MP Namık Tan suggested the possibility of 750 thousand people coming to Turkey from Gaza. Following this claim by Tan, a statement was issued by the Directorate of Communications.
As the clashes between Israel and Hamas continue with full intensity, the mortal danger to the civilian population in the region is increasing.
The claim that Turkey would open its borders to Gazan refugees wanting to flee the region has dropped like a bombshell on the agenda.
Former US Ambassador Namık Tan claimed in a post on his social media account that the possibility of bringing 750 thousand Gazan refugees to Turkey is being discussed.
A statement regarding the claim put forward by Tan came from the Center for Combating Disinformation.
Sharing on his social media account, Tan used the following expressions:

"While Turkey has become a refugee warehouse for people fleeing Afghanistan, Syria, and various African countries in recent years, the possibility of 750 thousand people coming to Turkey from Gaza is now being discussed.
It is clear that this situation will cause Turkey to experience problems regarding security, demographic structure, and social peace in the long term.
If the government, which has become a party to the conflicts in the Middle East due to wrong foreign policy, accepts people affected by the humanitarian crisis resulting from these conflicts into Turkey with short-term calculations, it will have made a new and very big mistake.
These wrong policies must be abandoned immediately, Turkey must play an active role in resolving the crisis, must strive to solve this new refugee crisis that may arise due to the Israel-Hamas war on the spot, and must not be a part of a possible refugee agreement between the US and Israel.
It is also exemplary that Erdoğan, who claims to support Gaza, is part of a plan that will displace the people of Gaza from their homeland in a way that is contrary to the conscience of humanity, and that his name is mentioned among those who will implement this plan."
STATEMENT FROM THE CENTER FOR COMBATING DISINFORMATION
The Center for Combating Disinformation, affiliated with the Directorate of Communications, stated that the information claiming "Statement from Netanyahu: We agreed with Erdoğan for 1 million Palestinians to become Turkish citizens and live in Turkey in exchange for 2 billion dollars" is false.
In the statement made by the Center for Combating Disinformation, it was also said, "There is no such meeting by our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan or such a statement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The claims are completely fabricated."
