In his statement, Minister Yerlikaya addressed the terrorist attack on the Ministry of Interior on October 1, saying, "Regarding the heinous attack on October 1, we have evidence that the attackers arrived by paramotor. We conducted a search for over 20 days in the area where they arrived by paramotor, but unfortunately, we could not find them.

There was a previous attempted attack in Mersin. Our colleagues found it. It was determined that they arrived by paramotor. The Ministry of National Defense is working on the paramotor issue. Measures are being taken and will continue to be taken at higher levels. There has been an interest in the recent period by terrorist organizations in using aerial elements.

We are also monitoring other developments in the world. We are updating our defense concept accordingly. It is not just us; it involves defense, intelligence, and interior affairs. We conducted our administrative investigations regarding the incidents that occurred in Kayseri on both September 28 and September 30. We finished them very meticulously and in a short time. We have initiated both disciplinary and judicial processes regarding those who were at fault," he said.

Responding to a question about the 10,000 new police staff positions, Minister Yerlikaya said, "Hopefully, we will have an announcement soon regarding the recruitment of 10,000 police officers. In the upcoming phase, on Saturday, our fresh recruits, numbering around 12,000, are joining our police force. We will hold their graduation ceremonies in Erzurum. We will also be admitting new candidates to the police academies from which they graduated," he said.

Regarding the allegations that internet influencers are involved in illegal betting, Minister Yerlikaya stated, "As the Ministry of Interior, we are working patiently and determinedly with our Ministry of Justice, especially on illegal betting and whatever other types of illicit activities exist. We will never allow our beautiful sport to be tainted. No one should take offense; you will see that whoever thinks they are suffering from power intoxication, we will be breathing down their necks as well.

Efforts are ongoing regarding the allegations that influencers are involved in illegal betting. I know that the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) and our Minister Mehmet Şimşek are very sensitive about this issue and have given instructions well in advance," he expressed.

"WE MUST BE VIGILANT AGAINST TERRORIST ORGANIZATIONS"

Speaking about a question posed at a meeting regarding the 'Police Secret Structure' reflected on screens, Minister Yerlikaya said, "We must always be vigilant against FETÖ and other terrorist organizations. We are determined to process whatever information we have in the best possible way and to identify and hand over to justice any individuals still affiliated with 'FETÖ-like' terrorist organizations that are trying to hold us back or neutralize us, both inside and outside. When the time and place come, we will see what the work there means. It is a very auspicious effort," he said.
