Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan attended the AKP Aksaray Central District Congress and met with party members.
EMPHASIS ON TERROR
Speaking at the congress, Minister Işıkhan said, "As long as our nation deems us worthy of this duty, we will continue our investments. However, unfortunately, while we build, some insist on continuing a politics of destruction. While we strive to regain the reputation our country deserves with new works and new answers, some are trying to slow down our country's steady march toward its goals with terror and chaos. Those who have always targeted democracy, national will, and our national interests, and who have no quality other than being a nuisance to Turkish politics, have never understood the cadres who have worked heart and soul for Turkey despite all obstacles, risking wearing a shirt of fire since the day they were founded, and I do not think they ever will."
THE GOAL OF LOCAL GOVERNMENTS IS TO SERVE THE NATION
Minister Işıkhan stated, "The goal of local governments is to serve the nation. It is not to serve those who point guns at the nation, my brother. Close contact between local administrators and a terrorist organization is not something that either the state or the nation can accept. While our nation always crowns those who serve it, it has never given passage to those who cannot distance themselves from terror. This nation has not surrendered its will to those with ties to terror, and it never will. We must represent the nation's guidance in the face of such relationships that threaten the trust and peace of our nation, and we will not refrain from showing our determination for even a moment."
