New development in armed attack on Zafer Party provincial chair: 4 people detained

The investigation continues into the armed attack carried out by two individuals on a motorcycle against businessman Mehmet Pamuk in front of his hotel on Karagöz Street in the Şehitkamil district of Gaziantep yesterday.

In a statement regarding the investigation, the Gaziantep Governor's Office indicated that two suspects were identified as a result of the work carried out by the Homicide Bureau teams of the Police Department.

The statement noted that information was obtained indicating the suspect who fired the handgun had previously worked at a bar located next to the hotel in question and had recently left the job, adding, "Four suspects, including the two individuals who carried out the incident and the bar owner and operator who instigated the event, have been detained."

Mehmet Pamuk, who was the target of the armed attack, is among the members of the Zafer Party Founders' Board.
