Statement from TKP following the TUSAŞ attack: "Turkey has become both poor, fragile, and insecure"
4 people lost their lives and 14 were injured in the attack on the TUSAŞ facility. Criticizing the AKP's policies, the TKP called on society to stand against this order.
An attack was carried out on the TUSAŞ (Turkish Aerospace Industries) facility located in Kahramankazan, Ankara. Two attackers were killed. 4 people lost their lives in the attack, and there are 14 injured, 3 of whom are in critical condition.
The Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) also shared a post on its social media accounts regarding the matter.
In the post, which referred to the inconsistency in the policies pursued by the AKP, it was emphasized that "This mentality and the order of holdings and sects have made Turkey both poor, fragile, and insecure."
The full text of the post is as follows:
"Once again, our condolences. We strongly condemn the attack in Ankara. Regardless of whether the identities of the perpetrators and the organizations they belong to are known or not, early assessments regarding the purpose of the attack should be avoided. However, there are things we must state clearly: Our country is governed by a mentality that, on one hand, stands in solidarity with Palestine while cooperating with Israel; on the other hand, pretends to reach out to Assad while building a jihadist army inside Syria; and while criticizing the US, tries to take on major roles in NATO. This mentality and the order of holdings and sects have made Turkey both poor, fragile, and insecure. Our citizens must now stand up against this dirty and bloody picture."
