Economist Mahfi Eğilmez evaluates the impact of the Israel-Palestine war on markets
Economist Mahfi Eğilmez evaluated the potential effects of the Israel-Palestine war on the markets via his social media account. Eğilmez stated that markets have become desensitized to such events compared to the past.
Using the Russia-Ukraine war as an example, Eğilmez expressed that markets have now become desensitized to war situations.
Stating that he has been asked this question many times on his social media account, Eğilmez addressed the question, "What will be the effects of the Israel-Palestine war on the course of the economy?" by saying that the dollar, gold, and the stock market will continue on their ongoing trajectories.
"THE POINT I WANT TO ADD IS THIS..."
Mahfi Eğilmez included the following statements in his post on his social media account:
I am frequently asked about the reflections of the war in the Middle East on the economy. Since this is not of a scope to form a full article, I will write my views here:

The dollar will gain value (it was already gaining, it will gain a bit more), gold was losing value, and as always happens in such situations, it will gain some value, and the stock market will fall (it is already falling). These are things everyone sees.
The point I want to add is this: Markets have become desensitized to such events in recent years.
In the past, all hell would break loose and markets would be turned upside down. Nowadays, the effects last for a few days, or at most a few weeks, and then the markets return to their former state. Do the events end? They do not. For example, the Russia-Ukraine war is still ongoing, but the markets do not care.
The Palestine-Israel war will likely be the same. While what I am saying might seem like a positive development for the markets, it is a very bad development for humanity.
People are dying, going hungry, families are being torn apart, and no one cares; it is all about the stock market, the dollar, and oil. People are not striving to prevent war, but to prevent market fluctuations.
