Arda Turan accused of causing 230,000 euros in damages to rented house in Barcelona

The newspaper El Periodico de Espana reported that a lawsuit filed by Arda Turan's former landlord at the Barcelona Provincial Court is still ongoing, and that the former footballer is accused of causing 230,000 euros in damages to the Barcelona property at the end of his 3-year residency.

The owner of the house, which is located in an elite neighborhood of Barcelona and is said to be valued at 18 million euros, stated in an interview with El Periodico that, citing an expert report submitted to the court, Arda Turan left the house with damages ranging from the doors to the garden, the lighting and electronic systems, the pool, and even the ceiling.

It was alleged that the most expensive damage in the house belonged to the furniture, lighting system, and cleaning costs, totaling 84,030 euros, and that there was also 64,258 euros in damage in the kitchen.

Explaining that when Arda Turan rented the house, "he had the house completely disinfected and cleaned very well because the previous tenants were not Muslim," the owner of the villa said, "When Arda and his companions were watching football, they would throw the television remote into the pool when a goal was scored. It is a thousand-euro remote. And if I remember correctly, they must have thrown it 10 or 15 times.

It is clear that there was no natural wear and tear in the house. They even left cigarette burns on the furniture. You know that repairing or replacing anything in a house of this type is not cheap."

It was noted that the case at the Barcelona Provincial Court is progressing slowly due to difficulties in reaching Arda Turan's address.
