Istanbul left to local and foreign tourists

With many Istanbul residents traveling to their hometowns or holiday resorts for the feast, the city is experiencing quiet days.

In the city, where human density and traffic have decreased, citizens flocked to historical and tourist sites, as well as beaches and parks.

There was congestion in the afternoon at Hagia Sophia, Sultanahmet, and Taksim squares, which are frequent destinations for foreign tourists as well as Istanbul residents.

THEY RECORDED THEIR MEMORIES

Tourists and citizens, who primarily visited the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque and the Blue Mosque, recorded their memories by taking plenty of photos and videos.

Some city residents spent time on the beaches and in the parks. A sense of calm was observed there compared to normal days.

Citizens who went down to the coast in Baltalimanı sat on the grass and benches, while others rode bicycles and went for walks.
