Elections to be repeated in Pınarbaşı: CHP to hold rally with participation of Mansur Yavaş

The CHP continues its efforts to win back the election in Kayseri's Pınarbaşı district, which was decided to be renewed following the acceptance of objections from the AKP and MHP.

Ahead of the elections to be held on Sunday, June 2, the CHP is preparing to hold a rally in Pınarbaşı, Kayseri. CHP Kayseri Deputy Aşkın Genç announced the rally, which will take place on Friday, May 24, at 13:30.

Stating that ABB Mayor Mansur Yavaş will also attend the rally, Genç invited all residents of Kayseri to the event.

YSK HAD DECIDED TO RENEW THE ELECTION WON BY THE CHP

According to the unofficial results of the March 31 local elections, the CHP candidate Deniz Yağan had won the election in Kayseri's Pınarbaşı Municipality with 33.30 percent of the vote.

As a result of the objections by the AKP and MHP, the Pınarbaşı District Election Board decided to renew the elections. The CHP objected to this decision.

In its meeting on April 6, where it examined the objection applications, the YSK rejected the CHP's request for the "cancellation of the decisions regarding the annulment and renewal of the mayoral and council membership elections" and decided that the elections in the Pınarbaşı district should be renewed.
