Party member Ebru Küçükaydın, who wrote allegations about Manisa Şehzadeler Mayor Gülşah Durbay and CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, has been referred to the disciplinary board with a request for 'permanent expulsion' with precautionary measures.

The CHP Muratpaşa District Presidency issued a statement following the allegations made against Gülşah Durbay and Özgür Özel.

The statement made on social media read as follows:

"An article written on October 3, 2024, by a party member identified as being registered in our Muratpaşa district, containing untrue accusations against our Chairman Mr. Özgür Özel and one of our party's mayors, has become a subject of public debate.

It has been determined that the article written by the person in question does not align with our party culture and, furthermore, contains untrue accusations against our party's Chairman and a party mayor that would belittle our party in the eyes of the public.

In this regard, as the Republican People's Party (CHP) Muratpaşa District Presidency, we hereby inform the press and the public that, as a result of the decision we took on October 4, 2024, the member named Ebru Küçükaydın, who published the relevant article, has been referred to the disciplinary board with a request for 'permanent expulsion' with precautionary measures."
