As the new legislative year begins, some senior figures within the İYİ Party, who state that they will not compromise on their opposition stance, have expressed that Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş should be supported as a presidential candidate in the 2028 general elections.
A NEW ALLIANCE MAY BE POSSIBLE
According to a report by Cumhuriyet, it is being discussed in İYİ Party circles that if Yavaş is nominated for the presidency, the door could be opened to forming a new alliance with the Republican People's Party (CHP).
It is also being mentioned in political circles that there may be a desire for the return of some individuals who, despite having left for the AKP, did not depart in a controversial manner and did not make negative statements about the İYİ Party.
