Ford Tourneo Courier and Transit Courier launched in the market

The new generation versions of the Ford Courier, the new Ford Tourneo Courier and Transit Courier, emerge as an ideal combination of performance, functional design, advanced connectivity, and cutting-edge safety systems.

The vehicle architecture of the new generation Courier was developed by Ford Otosan designers and engineers based on customer needs and expectations, using the "Design Thinking" philosophy. This approach ensures that the Courier offers the most suitable solutions for customers.

The new Transit Courier series, which facilitates the operations of commercial fleets with its practical design, features advanced capabilities and a powerful, modern appearance. The Courier series also aims to be an alternative to passenger vehicles with its design and features.

DESIGNED FOR DIVERSE NEEDS

The new Courier series adapts to needs much more easily with new gasoline and diesel powertrain options, as well as a refined and efficient 8-speed automatic transmission.

The gasoline EcoBoost engine of the new Tourneo Courier comes with 100 PS and 125 PS options for the 6-speed manual transmission, while the 7-speed automatic transmission provides 125 PS of power. The version with the 1.5-liter diesel EcoBlue engine is available with a 6-speed manual transmission producing 100 PS of power.

The gasoline version of the new generation Ford Transit Courier features 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine options providing 100 PS of power with a 6-speed manual transmission and 125 PS of power with a 7-speed automatic transmission. The version with the 1.5-liter diesel EcoBlue engine comes with a 6-speed manual transmission producing 100 PS and 250 Nm of torque. All options provide fast and smooth gear shifts.

The new Tourneo Courier adapts to every need in daily life with its different configuration options. Thanks to its foldable rear seats and flexible layout options, it can easily carry all belongings in any situation, from business trips to nature excursions, with a luggage volume of 2.45 cubic meters. With the 4+1 seating feature in the combi, it is possible to travel with a capacity of 5 people when the seats are not folded.

Created to be longer, wider, and taller to increase utility, the new series gives a whole new meaning to compact design. The 1.8 m load length of the new Transit Courier, which is 1.22 m between the wheel arches, can carry two Euro pallets. It offers more volume and spaciousness thanks to its loading area height of 1.26 m. The available volume in the Transit Courier has also increased by 25 percent, providing a spacious area of 2.9 m3.

NEW LOOK

The most striking aspect of the redesigned Courier series is its SUV-like exterior design. The exterior design emphasizes the Courier's robustness, functionality, and versatility. Its technological interior design creates more comfort with a phone holder, two cup holders in the center console, and additional storage areas.

The latest SYNC 4 system with an 8-inch touchscreen, which can mirror a smartphone screen, works in conjunction with a built-in modem that provides advanced connectivity and wireless updates. Complementing the central screen, the 8-inch digital instrument cluster creates a driver-focused cockpit.

Ford Otosan is the sole production center in the world for the Courier, which it has signed off on every stage from design to production and which first rolled off the line at the Yeniköy factory in 2014. Changing the dynamics of trade, the Courier is known as the vehicle that introduced Ford to the compact van segment. The new generation Ford Tourneo Courier and Transit Courier hold the title of being the first vehicles to roll off the line at the company's Craiova factory.

The fully electric and connected version of the Courier series will also be produced at the Craiova factory and will meet customers in 2024. The Ford Tourneo Courier has been put on sale with a starting price of 917 thousand 400 TL, and the Transit Courier with 787 thousand 900 TL.
