Former US President Donald Trump’s campaign team has accused Vice President Kamala Harris of having an alcohol problem. Trump’s campaign director James Blair stated in a post on the social media platform X, 'There are numerous rumors that Kamala has a serious drinking problem'.

Trump supporters have circulated various clips of Harris’s speeches on social media as “proof that she struggles to form sentences while under the influence of alcohol”. It was claimed that these images are evidence that Harris "is definitely an alcoholic". Other accounts close to the Trump campaign have also brought these allegations to the fore.

The Democratic Party has expressed its reaction to these accusations. Democrats stated that they do not take these claims seriously, arguing that the Trump team has resorted to such allegations because they cannot find any other arguments against Harris.

These developments come shortly after Vice President Kamala Harris’s running mate Tim Walz described Donald Trump and his running mate JD Vance as “weird”.
