CHP leader Kılıçdaroğlu met with Hasan Küçükkurt, Chairman of the Board of the İzmir Industrialists and Business People Association (İZSİAD), and board members at the CHP Headquarters.
It was claimed that Kılıçdaroğlu announced the party's candidates for the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality during this meeting.
According to a report by Ümit Kartal from İz Gazete, it was learned that Kılıçdaroğlu asked the İZSİAD delegation, “Where are the rumors coming from that Ahmet Akın will be the İzmir Metropolitan Mayoral candidate?”
Stating that “Ahmet Akın has nothing to do with İzmir,” Kılıçdaroğlu said, “Ahmet Akın is our candidate for the Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality. It was the same in the last election, but we left it to the İYİ Party as part of the alliance, but it didn't work out. Now, our Balıkesir candidate is Ahmet Akın.”
Upon the question, “So who is your İzmir candidate?” Kılıçdaroğlu replied, Tunç Soyer.
