April concert program at İş Sanat announced
As İş Sanat continues its season at full speed, it will present new events to audiences in April. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Turkish-Hungarian Friendship Agreement, the Anima Musicae Chamber Orchestra, featuring musicians from the Franz Liszt Academy, will be at the İş Towers Hall on Wednesday, April 17, at 20:30, alongside the famous Hungarian-born violinist Gwendolyn Masin.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Turkish-Hungarian Friendship Agreement signed in 1923, the Anima Musicae Chamber Orchestra, formed by distinguished musicians from the Franz Liszt Academy, will take the stage with Hungarian-born violinist Gwendolyn Masin on Wednesday, April 17, at 20:30 at the İş Towers Hall.
Since its founding in 2010, the orchestra has delivered successful performances on the international music scene and won first prize in the "String Orchestra with Outstanding Achievement" category at the 5th Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival held at the Wiener Musikverein in Vienna in 2011.
WE ARE SINGING ‘HEP BARABAR’
On Friday evening, April 5, the group Barabar will host Demet Evgar on stage for a concert titled ‘Hep Barabar’, for which tickets sold out shortly after going on sale. In addition to Taner Ölmez and Serkan Keskin, the group “Barabar” includes Caner Malkoç, Cihan Tanrıverdi, Fırat İkisivri, Özgür Taş, Serkan Polat, and Sibel Altan.
A CONCERT FULL OF DANCE, MUSIC, AND SURPRISES
Violin virtuoso, composer, and comedian Aleksey Igudesman will be a guest of İş Sanat on Tuesday evening, April 16, with his concert “Beethoven and More,” prepared exclusively for İş Sanat. On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the 9th Symphony, the final work Ludwig van Beethoven composed after losing his hearing completely, Igudesman has prepared a magical repertoire following in the composer's footsteps.
The concert, which will take place at the Atatürk Cultural Center Türk Telekom Opera Hall, will be enlivened by the Romanian National Youth Orchestra, conducted by Aleksey Igudesman, and the Boğaziçi Jazz Choir. In this concert, Igudesman will be accompanied by “caramel-voiced” singer and songwriter Futurelove Sibanda, as well as our country's successful mezzo-soprano Senem Demircioğlu and guitarist Cenk Erdoğan.

İş Sanat’s musical children's play “Pat Pat Patara” invites little theater lovers to the İş Towers Hall. Written by Yekta Kopan and directed by Lerzan Pamir, the play, which takes place in the Ancient City of Patara, will offer its audience an entertaining adventure. The last two performances of the season will be staged at the İş Towers Hall on Saturday, April 27, and Sunday, April 28, at 15:00.
The cast includes Özge Fışkın, Şeyla Halis Çiçekdemir, Baran Güler, Mert Aydın, Derman Çinkılıç, Elif Gizem Aykul, Emrecan Karakum, İrem Kayakököz, and Mehmet Berker Korkmaz. The music for the play was composed by Tolga Çebi, while the set design is by Merve Yörük and the costume design is by Gül Sağer.
Recommended for audiences aged 4 and over, the play will bring little theater lovers together with the curious and exciting surprises of history.
SHINING STARS
In the Shining Stars series, which İş Sanat continues to support musicians at the beginning of their careers by offering them stage experience, Tuna Çalışkan (trombone) and Seyyah Tatlıdede (piano) will take part in the final concert of this season. A JOURNEY FROM ARCHAEOLOGY TO POETRY AT BLACKBOX
In our archaeology series, which we continue with the excavation directors of ancient cities, Prof. Dr. Serdar Hakan Öztaner, Head of the Nysa Ancient City Excavation, will be our guest at the BlackBox Hall located in the Türkiye İş Bankası Painting and Sculpture Museum on Wednesday, April 17, at 16:00. In the Footsteps of Nysa is preparing to take archaeology and history lovers on a unique journey into the history of Anatolia, dating back to before the common era.
İş Sanat is preparing to hold the event "Touring Istanbul with Paintings" with Prof. Dr. Gül İrepoğlu, curator of the İş Bankası Painting and Sculpture Museum, on Saturday, April 20, at 13:00. You are invited to discover the museum's temporary exhibition, "The Painting of Istanbul," on a unique journey extending from the Anatolian side of the city to the European side.
The "There is Poetry in the Museum" series continues in April with Can Yücel. Onur Caymaz continues to bring the lives, memories, and works of the valuable poets of our literature to literature enthusiasts. On Friday, April 26, at 16:00 and Saturday, April 27, at 13:00, you will witness the life of our unique poet Can Yücel, who carried the responsibility of being a poet and brought the truth to the public with all its sharpness.
THERE WILL BE A TANGO SHOW
“Forever Tango,” the tango dance troupe that has performed the most on Broadway, will meet the İş Sanat audience for the first time with a show they will perform at the İş Towers Hall on Thursday, May 23, at 20:30. The tango troupe Forever Tango, which masterfully brings Argentina's passionate music and dance to the stage, consists of 12 dancers and 9 musicians.
CLOSING CONCERT
İş Sanat will host a magnificent concert with tenor Murat Karahan and one of the world's greatest voices, Plácido Domingo, in the 100th year of Türkiye İş Bankası. Soprano Elena Stikhina will accompany Domingo and Karahan on stage at the season closing concert, which will also feature the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of conductor Carlo Tenan.
The concert will take place on Tuesday evening, May 28, at 20:30 at the Volkswagen Arena.
