Passed away at 79: 'Alev Alatlı House of Thought' to be established
In memory of author Alev Alatlı, who passed away at the age of 79, the 'Alev Alatlı House of Thought' is being established in Beykoz, where she lived for many years.

In accordance with the unanimous decision of the Beykoz Municipal Council, a house of thought is being established in the district where author Alev Alatlı lived for many years, in order to keep her memory and ideas alive.
The house of thought, which will be established in the name of Alatlı—who contributed to the country's civilization through her works as well as her multifaceted personality as an academic, writer, and economist—will be located in the Merkez neighborhood.
The center, which will bear the author's name, serves as a tribute to the writer, who was a well-known resident of the district.
'SHE WAS AN IMPORTANT VALUE'
Beykoz Mayor Murat Aydın, who published a condolence message following Alatlı's death, said, "Alev Alatlı was an important value for our country and our Beykoz with her intellectual background, her love for these lands, and her commitment to our civilizational values."
