Aslı Özge, who is the jury president of the 43rd Istanbul Film Festival, posed for cameras after the screening alongside cinematographer Emre Erkmen and cast members Derya Erkenci, Nurdan Çakmak, and Semih Arslanoğlu.
'Faruk' is among the 8 films competing for the 'European Cinemas Label' award in the festival's Panorama section.
PLOT OF THE FILM FARUK
The film, which is preparing to meet cinema lovers in Turkey in the spring of 2024, offers a glimpse into the life of an elderly man trying to survive within the crowds of Istanbul.
In her new film, which was shot in real locations and inspired by real characters and events, Özge shows not only the effects of urban transformation but also the complexities of a father-daughter relationship.
