'Benim de Kalbim Var', 'Aşka Hasret', 'Çingene Aşkı' and 'Paprika', 71-year-old singer and actress Serpil Örümcer, known for her roles in Yeşilçam films, announced in a post on her social media account that she has compiled her songs onto a CD and is selling them for 300 liras.

The artist, who years ago made a living by working at a stall opened by the Antique Nostalgic Goods Merchants Association in the indoor market area in Avcılar Ambarlı, said the following in her post describing the financial difficulties she has been facing recently:

"I am Serpil Örümcer, an artist from the 1970s. Due to some of my needs and debts, I have compiled my songs as a nostalgia collection on a CD. I want to sell them. If you wish, I will send them to your address signed. Thank you very much in advance. I pray that God may be pleased with you, and I offer my love and respect."

SHE HAD REQUESTED TO BE GIVEN WORK

Örümcer, who had previously announced that she was selling her photographs and postcards for 200 liras and described the difficulties she was going through, had stated that her daughter has psychological health issues and had requested that she be given a job rather than asking authorities for cash assistance.
