Serpil Örümcer, who rose to fame in the 70s as 'Miss Legs' (Bayan Bacak), stated that she is experiencing financial hardship.
In a video posted on her social media account, Örümcer announced that she was selling her old photos for 200 liras to pay her electricity and water bills.
The artist expressed the difficulties she is facing as follows:
"I continue to struggle. I go to the market once a week. I sell second-hand clothes. Business is bad, and I have no capital. That's why I tried selling signed photos. I am grateful that I still have people who love me. A few people who love nostalgia bought them. I had many things happen to me in the industry. I made the biggest mistake in my second marriage. My husband took me to Marmaris. Things went bankrupt there. In the end, I was left on the street."

Upon the instructions of the Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, officials from the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services were assigned to look into the matter.
