Trade between Turkey and Israel was protested at the Ankara Rally attended by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

While Israel's attacks on Gaza continue, the AKP's silence on 'trade with Israel' persists.

While AKP figures are being protested at rallies they attend with banners calling to stop trade with Israel, a similar protest was directed at Erdoğan.

"YOU CANNOT IGNORE US"

A group called 'A Thousand Youth for Palestine' unfurled a "Stop trade with Israel" banner while Erdoğan was speaking at the rally held in Ankara.

As the banner was unfurled, the group was subjected to de facto detention. The group shared the moments in question on their social media account, reacting by saying, "You cannot silence our voice, you cannot ignore us! Our friends who wanted to say 'Stop trade with Israel for a free Palestine' were subjected to de facto detention."
