The Atlı Köşk mystery: Auction that stirred the Sabancı family starts over
The auction for Sevilay Sabancı Çınar's 1/48 share in the Atlı Köşk was canceled after her former lawyer, Haldun Hulki Gürcan, who placed the highest bid, failed to pay the 200 million lira within the specified timeframe. The share will be put up for sale again under the terms of the first auction.

Sevilay Sabancı Çınar put her 1/48 share in the Atlı Köşk up for sale on July 24, 2024, with a starting price of 31 million 250 thousand lira.
Following 183 bids for the share, Haldun Hulki Gürcan, the former lawyer whom Çınar had dismissed, won the auction on July 31 with a bid of 200 million lira.
Gürcan, who purchased the share, was required to pay the 200 million lira within 7 days.
However, the Istanbul Real Estate Sales Enforcement Office decided to cancel the Atlı Köşk auction because Gürcan failed to make the payment within the designated period.
The auction for Sevilay Sabancı Çınar's share in the Atlı Köşk will be held again under the terms of the first auction.
