Attacked in Kağıthane, caught in Romania!: A Palestinian had lost his life

Following the armed attack that took place in Kağıthane on the evening of August 18 at 22:20, a comprehensive investigation was launched by the Istanbul Police Department.

Within the scope of the investigation, teams tracking G.S., T.S., and S.A., who fled the country within 2.5 hours after the incident by changing 3 vehicles, determined that the suspects first went to Bulgaria and from there to Romania.

Determining that the suspects had boarded a plane to flee to Israel, the Istanbul police contacted the Romanian Interpol unit and initiated a joint operation.

CAUGHT IN ROMANIA

Since issuing a red notice takes time and in order to avoid any delay at this stage, the Romanian Interpol unit, which responded positively to the 'diffusion' message sent by Turkish Interpol within the framework of criteria for a red notice to ensure the capture of the suspects, took the 3 suspects into custody.

Meanwhile, it was stated that efforts initiated by the relevant authorities to issue a red notice for the extradition of the suspects are ongoing.

The processing of L.E.E., I.A., A.F.M.M., and P.Y., who were caught after being identified as acting in concert with the suspects and assisting in their escape, continues at the police station.
