Ayşe Ateş's International Day of the Girl Child post: 'I hope for the last time...'

Ayşe Ateş, the wife of Sinan Ateş, shared a post on social media for the International Day of the Girl Child, stating: "Today is the 'International Day of the Girl Child.' It is a day when we must once again—I hope for the last time—remind ourselves of some issues that should never be forgotten," and added the following:

'POSSIBLE WITH THE RIGHT EDUCATION'

"Increasing women's contribution to society, ensuring gender equality, and thus building a fairer world depends on our girls being able to fully realize their potential.

Women taking an active role in social life is important not only in terms of gender equality but also for society to achieve a more democratic, participatory, and progressive structure.

Raising awareness among girls about issues such as violence against women, discrimination, and abuse is possible through the right education that begins at a young age within the family.

'CONCERNS THE ENTIRE SOCIETY'

To reach an egalitarian and sustainable future, there is a struggle that must be waged against many problems in a wide spectrum, from education to healthcare services, and from gender-based violence to child marriage, and no distinction should be made between men and women in participating in this struggle. Because the future of our girls concerns not only our women but the entire society."
