Qassam Brigades offer hostage deal to Israel

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas which governs the Gaza Strip, has demanded that Israel release all Palestinian prisoners in its jails in exchange for the release of the hostages it holds.
In a statement broadcast by the Hamas-run Al-Aqsa television channel, it was stated, "The price for the large number of enemy hostages in our hands is the release of all Palestinian prisoners in (Israeli) jails."
During the October 7 attack launched by Hamas against Israel, approximately 230 people, mostly civilians, were taken hostage from southern Israel.
IT WAS ANNOUNCED THAT 50 CAPTIVES HAD DIED
The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, announced on October 16 that they were holding between 200 and 250 captives, including high-ranking military personnel.
Qassam Brigades spokesperson Abu Obeida announced in a written statement on October 26 that 50 of the Israeli captives they held had been killed in the attacks carried out by Israel on the Gaza Strip.
