Can Aksoy, appointed as trustee to Esenyurt Municipality, declares loyalty to Erdoğan and receives two promotions in one night

Beyoğlu District Governor Can Aksoy, who declared his loyalty to AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, received two promotions in a single night.

CHP's Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer, was arrested on the grounds of "being a member of the PKK/KCK armed terrorist organization." Following Özer's arrest,

a trustee was appointed to Esenyurt Municipality.The Ministry of Interior appointed Istanbul Deputy Governor Can Aksoyannounced that he has been appointed as the Deputy Mayor of Esenyurt.

However, until the appointment decision, Can Aksoy was serving as the Beyoğlu District Governor. His name was not among the Istanbul Deputy Governors.

Following the Ministry's announcement, Aksoy updated his social media accounts  from Beyoğlu District Governor  to Istanbul Deputy Governor.

Another detail that drew attention on Aksoy's profile was the photograph taken with AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

It drew attention that Aksoy added the note "We are at the command of our state, we stand with Erdoğan" to a photo he shared on August 3.
