The Konya Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center stated in an announcement that air temperatures are continuing to hover above seasonal norms.
The statement, which noted that administrative and judicial action will be taken against individuals who do not heed the warnings regarding entry into forests, included the following expressions:
"In order to protect our forests from potential fires, entry into forest areas within the borders of Konya has been prohibited between July 1 and September 30. Let us all protect our invaluable forests together for our country and our nation."
