Full transcripts of conversations between Arda Turan and Seçil Erzan revealed: 'Our lives are ruined!'

The trial of Seçil Erzan, a former branch manager at a private bank in Istanbul, and 6 other defendants, on charges of defrauding 18 people including Arda Turan, Emre Belözoğlu, Fernando Muslera, and Selçuk İnan, was held recently.

The court decided to release 2 of the detained defendants. The court panel ruled that the detention of Seçil Erzan and Ali Yörük should continue and adjourned the hearing to January 12, 2024.

SHE DECEIVED THEM BY SAYING 'THIS IS NOT INTEREST'

Arda Turan's statements left their mark on the hearing at the Istanbul 14th High Criminal Court. Testifying as a complainant, Turan stated that after Erzan called him frequently and pressured him, he first handed over 3 million dollars in cash to be invested in the fund she mentioned, and that Erzan deceived him by saying, “Whoever invests in this fund will earn according to their investment, this is not interest.”

Stating that he handed over 13 million 900 thousand dollars in cash and that he had received 6 million 400 thousand dollars back, and that she had given him documents with bank stamps and wet signatures, he said, “Seçil Erzan destroyed all the money and labor I earned by working for years by deceiving me. I am very sad, this incident has worn me out a lot. All my savings are gone in an instant.”

The phone conversation records between Turan, who says he gave nearly 14 million dollars to Erzan by his own account, and the defendant Seçil Erzan have been entered into the court record.
