Famous figures who claimed to have been defrauded by Seçil Erzan, a manager at a private bank, had also gone to the courthouse one by one to give statements to the prosecutor. The first hearing of the case took place yesterday.

While 6 defendants, 4 of whom are in custody, and the lawyers of the parties attended the hearing at the Istanbul 14th High Criminal Court, 1 defendant who is not in custody connected via the Audio and Video Information System (SEGBİS). 11 complainants, including Emre Çolak and Volkan Bahçekapılı, were also present at the hearing.

In the hearing, which concluded late at night, a decision was made to release two defendants.

In the case regarding the allegation that many people, including Arda Turan, Fernando Muslera, and Emre Belözoğlu, were defrauded of approximately 25 million dollars with the promise of a high-yield, private, and reliable fund, 2 defendants were released.

It was ruled that the detention of bank branch manager Seçil Erzan shall continue.

'MY ENTIRE SAVINGS ARE GONE'

Speaking about the incident that has been brought to the judiciary, Arda Turan said, "Seçil Erzan destroyed all the money I earned by working for years and my labor by deceiving me. I had given 13 million 900 thousand dollars in cash. I am very sad; this incident has worn me out significantly. My entire savings disappeared in an instant."
