Karşıyaka continues its sponsorship negotiations for its basketball team in the Super League following the departure of Pınar, its title sponsor for 26 years, while the name of Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç has begun to be associated with the Green-and-Reds. It has been alleged that Ali Koç, who is also the deputy chairman of the board at Koç Holding, will provide sponsorship support to Karşıyaka.

''I WISH IT WOULD HAPPEN''

A statement regarding the matter came from Karşıyaka President İlker Ergüllü. Ergüllü said, "Such a claim has been discussed for a long time. Having a powerful name from Istanbul support the Karşıyaka basketball team would add value to us. I wish it would happen."

"WE EXCHANGED IDEAS WITH ALI KOÇ"

Stating that he has a friendship with Sertaç Komşuoğlu, a name close to Ali Koç who serves as an executive board member in the Fenerbahçe administration, Karşıyaka President Ergüllü said, "We met with Mr. Sertaç in recent days. We have good relations with him and with Fenerbahçe. We exchanged ideas with Mr. Ali Koç before the Football Federation elections," he said.

"IT WOULD ADD VALUE TO US"

Saying, "I hope something like this happens so that we can turn a brand new page as Karşıyaka," İlker Ergüllü added, "Having a powerful name from Istanbul support Karşıyaka would add value to us. We would also be honored. I hope that we will sit down at the table in the coming period to discuss the details."
