Making a statement on his social media account, Minister Koca said the following:

I spoke with Egyptian Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar regarding health aid for Gaza.

Within the framework of the meetings I held with my international counterparts regarding the hospital attacks carried out in Gaza yesterday, I also had a phone call with Egyptian Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.

I conveyed to my Egyptian counterpart, as I did in my other meetings, that we are ready regarding the deployment of a hospital ship, the establishment of a field hospital, the transfer of the wounded to our country for advanced examination and treatment when necessary, the provision of health personnel, and the supply of medicine and medical devices.

They stated that they have also made all the necessary preparations in this regard at the Rafah Border Crossing, but that the problem is on the other side of the border; that they are grateful to Turkey for its cooperation proposal and approach, that there may be a primary need for medicine and medical supplies related to trauma and burns, and that the establishment of a field hospital would be beneficial.

As Turkey, in this direction, we have completed all our preparations regarding the supply of medicine and medical equipment, our field hospitals, and our expert teams, and we are standing by to fulfill this historic duty.
