Speaking on the subject, AKP Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala had said, "There will be new participants. The AK Party is the dominant address of politics. It is natural and normal for those who want to walk the path with the AK Party to join the party within the framework of its principles."
It has been alleged that 7 out of the 10 deputies from the Gelecek Party, primarily Selim Temurci, İsa Mesih Şahin, and Mustafa Nedim Yamalı, will join the AKP.

A response to these words from Yamalı came from his party.
According to the report on Sözcü TV, Gelecek Party Group Chairman Selçuk Özdağ stated that there is no such participation for now, and mentioning that some AKP members have come to hold talks, he spoke as follows:
“Mr. Nedim's statements are his own opinion. We meet with every party; it is not possible to govern Turkey without meeting with parties. In such an environment, why would I join the AKP? They start saying the Gelecek Party is resigning, it is closing down. What good does it do you if the Gelecek Party closes? Why did I become a deputy if I cannot protect the rights of my nation?

There is no such participation for now. But some AKP members are coming and holding talks. As Selçuk Özdağ, I am where I am. In Turkey, we want law to meet with justice. We want our state to meet with merit. We want the government to be transparent and accountable."
