The claim that 7 deputies from opposition parties will join the AKP continues to remain on the agenda.

It was alleged that one of these names is Gelecek Party Ankara Deputy Mustafa Nedim Yamalı.

"WE ARE HOLDING SOME MEETINGS"

According to the report in Oda TV, Yamalı spoke about the allegations regarding him, stating, "We are holding some meetings. The AK Party is one of them. The friends there are people we have worked with for years."

"OUR AK PARTY FRIENDS WANT US TO JOIN"

Reminding that he is one of the founders of the AKP, Yamalı said, "We have some advice for the AK Party. I am one of the founders of the AK Party. We are talking to each other, but we are currently continuing our work in our own party. Among those we have met with are the IYI Party, the DEVA Party, the Democrat Party, and the Republican People's Party (CHP)."

"WE WOULD JOIN TOGETHER WITH AHMET DAVUTOĞLU"

Responding to claims that Ahmet Davutoğlu was unaware and that secret meetings were being held, Yamalı said:

"Ahmet Davutoğlu is aware of all the meetings held within the party. Everything is within the knowledge of the chairman. Most of our meetings are public. We do not do anything without the will, knowledge, and approval of the chairman. We are not a package deal. We could not realize our demands at the Table of Six. These meetings are held under the instructions of our chairman, and Ahmet Davutoğlu makes the final decision. If we are to join the AKP, we will do so all together with our Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu."

AKP'S EFKAN ALA HAD SAID THERE WOULD BE 'NEW PARTICIPATIONS'

AKP Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala had said during his party's 23rd anniversary celebrations on August 14 that there would be new participations.

When reminded of the news that there would be new participations in the party during the AKP's celebration program on August 14, Ala had said, "Yes, there will be. The AK Party is the dominant address of politics. It is natural and normal for those who want to walk the path with the AK Party to join the AK Party within the framework of the party's principles."
