According to the report by Ceylan Sever from Habertürk, the indictment regarding Beykoz Municipality has been accepted. The first hearing of the case will take place on September 2. In the preliminary report, it was decided that the detention of a total of 26 people, including Mayor Alaattin Köseler, 13 of whom are currently in custody, will continue.

WHAT HAPPENED?

CHP Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler was detained at his home around 04:00 on the morning of February 27. Köseler was taken to the police station under the instructions of the Beykoz Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

The accusations of "rigging a tender" and "misconduct in office" were put forward as the grounds for the detention. Police and riot squad teams set up barriers in front of the municipal building for security purposes.

A total of 21 people, including Köseler, were referred to the Beykoz Courthouse. The suspects were first taken to the hospital for medical examinations.

18 people, including Köseler and his Chief of Staff, were sent to the Beykoz Criminal Court of Peace with a request for arrest.

While Köseler was arrested by the court, a total of 13 people were imprisoned, and 5 people were released under judicial control conditions.
