WHAT HAPPENED

Yunus Emre G. (19), who was taken into custody at the Dudullu Police Station regarding a motorcycle theft and was learned to have 26 separate criminal records, had escaped from the station. Police officers K.H.S. and Şeyda Yılmaz, who were on duty at the station, had pursued the suspect to apprehend him.

Suspect Yunus Emre G. was caught after a short chase, during which a scuffle broke out.

As a result of the suspect seizing a police officer's weapon and firing into the surroundings, police officer Şeyda Yılmaz was martyred. In the incident, police officer K.H.S. and the suspect's mother, P.G. (43), were wounded.
