(19), who has 26 criminal records for various crimes, was apprehended on 23.09.2024 in Ihlamurkuyu Neighborhood. While he was being taken into custody, a scuffle broke out with the officers on duty, and he grabbed the officer's weapon and began firing at the officers and people in the vicinity. Female police officer Şeyda Yılmaz (27) returned fire at the suspect. The officers on duty who were wounded during the incident and the suspect's mother, P.G. (43), were taken to the hospital after initial interventions, and our heroic police officer Şeyda Yılmaz could not be saved despite all interventions by medical personnel and was martyred. The treatment of police officer K.H.S. and the individual named P.G. continues in the hospital. In the work carried out regarding the matter, the suspect named Y.E.Ç. was taken into custody wounded, and investigation procedures have been initiated for the crimes of 'Intentional killing-intentional injury'.
