Kürşad Zorlu, who resigned from the İYİ Party to join the AKP and had his party pin attached by President Erdoğan himself, has responded to the criticisms made against him. Zorlu said, "I want to underline that I will not be a part of a culture of lies and politics either."

"I also respectfully welcome some of the criticisms from our conscientious citizens who voted for me," Zorlu stated, adding, "Just as I did yesterday, I will continue to work for the interests and future of the Turkish nation from now on as well."

In his statement, Zorlu used the following expressions:

"It is an important day for me as well. We have entered a new process. Through you, I just want to say this; as a child of the Turkish nation, as a child of Anatolia, I have always tried to stay outside of the culture of polemics and the politics of polemics until today. It will be the same from now on. I also respectfully welcome some of the criticisms of our conscientious citizens who supported me, stood by me... and voted for me in this process. They all have a place on my head. But I want to underline that I will not be a part of a culture of lies and politics either. Now is the time to produce solutions and take action for our country and our dear nation. Just as I did yesterday, I will continue to work for the interests and future of the Turkish nation from now on as well.''
