Kürşad Zorlu's criticisms from before joining the AKP continue to haunt him

Zorlu's pin was attached by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan following his speech at the AKP Ankara 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress.

Making a brief greeting speech after his pin was attached, Zorlu stated the following: "Today, our country is undoubtedly facing multiple threats, historical tests, and geographical threats. It has emerged that Zorlu, who was one of the protégés of former Chairman Meral Akşener, had criticized the AKP government with harsh words in the past.

Saying, "The government is plundering our underground and above-ground resources," Zorlu had also made a statement regarding the Presidential Government System, saying, "It is a lack of principle that is not even included in the freak system they brought. We will also object to the President's candidacy."
