Tosun provided the following information regarding the decision made by the channel's management:

Mansur Yavaş has broken his silence on the matter.

In recent days, there has been speculation in social media and press outlets regarding the indefinite and mandatory leave of NOW TV Main News anchor Gülbin Tosun, involving myself.

Regarding the matter; a misleading perception has been created that the reason for Gülbin Tosun being placed on indefinite and mandatory leave is my reaction to the statements she made about me. These claims are completely false and baseless.

We believe the real reason is the profane and insulting language used by the individual on her personal social media accounts, and that this situation was found unacceptable by the NOW TV channel management in terms of ethical standards. This decision is entirely related to the channel management's internal disciplinary procedures and has no connection to me.

In order to inform the public correctly and prevent speculation, I clearly state that this situation has no connection to my statements or personal opinions, and I present my respects.
